Who shed his blood?
I taught people to seek help from Mary and the saints instead of going directly to Christ. But the voice inside of me asked, Who is it who got your salvation on the cross? Who is it that paid your debt by shedding his blood? Was it Mary or the saints, or Jesus Christ? And although you - like many other priests - do not believe in the effects of scapulars, novenas, rosaries, statues and candles, you tolerate these things in your church. You claim that the common people need simple things in order to become themselves
remember God. And you also know that these simple things are a great source of income. But God doesn't want a department store in his church. Those who believe in him must worship him in spirit and in truth (Gospel of John 4,24:XNUMX). Destroy these idols and teach people to pray by calling on God alone.
Who can forgive sins?
My doubts were especially agonizing when I was sitting in the confessional. People came to me, kneeled down in front of me and got acquaintedtold me their sins. And what did i do I made the sign of the cross on them, pretending I had the power to forgive their sins. I, a sinful person, took God's place, claimed his judicial rights - and heard this piercing voice say: You are robbing God of his glory. When sinners seek forgiveness for their sins, they must turn to God, not you. It is God's law that they have broken, so they must make their confession to Him and seek forgiveness from Him alone. No one can forgive sins, only Jesus can and he does it.
How clear is the message of the Bible:
"But she will give birth to a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins" (Gospel of Matthew 1,21:XNUMX).
“And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven given to men in which we are to be saved! " (Acts 4,12).
"But when we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous, so that he forgives our sins and cleanses us from all injustice" (1 John 1,9:XNUMX).
“My children, I am writing this to you so that you do not sin! And if anyone sins, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous ” (1 John 2,1:XNUMX).
